Peregrine Studios has been in operation in Osoyoos, British Columbia, since January 2007, with a view to providing top-notch music instruction in the Okanagan.


Barbara Haskell

Barbara Haskell is currently teaching private classes in voice, piano and music theory. Classes start at 1/2 hour sessions, working up to 1 hour per instrument in piano and voice. Jack teaches 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 hour sessions in guitar.

Seminars, workshops, events, choral classes and recitals will be categorized under Events & News. Stay tuned for the up-and-coming Costume Tea Party, Opera Collective, International Summer Music School in England, Opera Chorus Classes, Music Festival, Ensemble and Singing camp.

Barbara believes in the beauty of the singing voice and engages her students in the diversity of various forms of music; instruction includes everything from popular music of the day, to Golden Oldies, musical theatre to folk music and classical music that suits their individual voice, including music in languages other than English. Every effort is given to teach students music genres they like, and each student's development is approached individually.

Barbara encourages those with the ability to take exams. An examination level of Grade 8 entitles the student to get credit for Grade 12 music classes.

Lessons are given once a week with the expectation that students will practise at home during the week. Those involved in performing are given opportunities to perform in master classes, recitals, festival, and other endeavours.

Jack Pringle

Jack can teach in all popular music styles and provide what musical direction you wish to take. Students will be taught the necessary tools they can use for the rest of their musical careers to help them grow as musicians.

Theory is applied directly to the instrument with a musical demonstration of the topic or point being taught. Transcriptions, notation and lesson guides are provided.

Experienced guitar technician. Can do basic guitar set-ups in studio. Flat rate of $10.
